Joyeuses Fetes !!

Hello everyone,

We finally made it back home to France after a crazy crazy trip through the madness at the Paris Charles de Gaulle airport (trust me, it's worth a post of its own !)

So here we are now, enjoying my adored Pays Basque, my family and my mom's awesome cuisine :)

I wish you all a fantastic holiday, I hope you all have a great time with your friends and family.
I also want to thank everyone who read this blog for making my day every time you leave a comment.
I'm so grateful for all the amazing people I've met through blogging so far, it's been great !

I'll be back to more regular posting after the holidays

Bonnes fetes everyone !

Sous l'eau

In French, when you're super crazy busy, we say that you are 'sous l'eau' (underwater literally) and that would pretty much describe my life right now...

Hopefully I'll be back to more regular posting soon (like after the Holidays) but in the meantime, I'm gonna go look for a mask and a tuba cause I'm going to be here for a little while...

American gift guide 2010

A poster of Breakfast at Tiffany's because every girl loves NYC and Audrey Hepburn (and cigarette holder...but that's just me)
Sparkly shoe clips to brighten her days

A big old school Timex watch to look effortlessly cool
A pair of the American classic Sperry
Also an awesome bloc party DVD...

A LeSportsac 3 zips pouch because they're so practical and they always come in the best prints
A pack of 4 Essie nail polishes because variety is always good

An American classic : the lunchbox and these are adorable
An authentic woolrich cap from South Boston to look like a cute little newsboy

A photopad... the best idea since the photo calendar (and I've ordered a couple this year for my folks)
A yummie pancake mix and maple syrup from the one and only William Sonoma

A good hand cream (everybody needs one)
Not your traditional Xmas card with the NYC skyline (it will look cool on her desk too)
Oh and of course, New York City in a bag

And finally a little gift for yourself to enjoy with a hot cup of tea (or glass of wine) after the crazy madness of the Holidays :
a good old Snuggie in leopard print (ugly yes but damn comfortable on a winter night) and a  Real Housewife of New York City DVD (my numero uno real TV guilty pleasure)
Enjoy !!

Parisienne

Cutest brooch ever...

Sorry I've been so silent lately, the weekend has been crazy and I got a nasty cold that is completely slowing me down in everything I do. So blogging again took forever...
Hope you've had a lovely weekend

Gift guide 2010 - coming soon

For those of you who don't live in the US, here's the latest Target holiday commercial and I couldn't think of a better way to tell you that I will be posting my very first gift guides later on this week.

It will be in 2 parts : first, French gifts for Americans and then, American gifts for Frenchies.

I realized that doing an introduction for it will make it look all fancy when really it is not, but I can't wait to share it with you...

Monday bits

Hello everyone, this week my 'bon weekend' post is turning into a 'Monday bits' one... Same concept, different day. I've been so busy these past two days I didn't get a chance to sit in front of my laptop until now.
How was your weekend ? Nice and relaxing I hope (unless you got caught up into the Xmas shopping madness)

So, without any further delay, here are a few lovely things that caught my attention last week :
1. Super cute animal ornaments from Terrain (via Unruly things)
2. Gorgeous faceted green glass necklace
3. I love this Madewell outfit, effortlessly cool
4. Great print ' anatomy of love', it would make a sweet gift (via Quiet like Horses)
5. Lovely handmade necklace (I love those colors)
6. One cool bookshelf

Bon début de semaine, happy Monday !

Mickey chez Colette

Since November 15th the French kids brand Absorba is featuring a retro Mickey Mouse (little O's number 1 obsession lately) in a limited edition kit sold exclusively at Colette (the quintessential cool Parisian store).
How cute are those kids seriously ?
Ok, I need to send one of my friends back home on a mission to rue St Honoré today to find this Mickey tee and scarf ! Any volunteer ?
